It’s really hard to write well and meaningfully when I have so many ideas pinging around in my brain. The ideas in question aren’t creative ones, they’re deep thinking examinations of the human condition, sparked by personal and political events.
The big mess of analytical thought all ends up in one place - it seems people (on average) don’t care about big picture thinking.
It’s really driving me loopy. There’s so much political propaganda being spread around, and although a lot of the “facts” are exaggerations and scare tactics, they’re probably going to work. I’ve also seen instances of victim blaming, both targeted towards some recent uncool experiences I’ve had, and the experiences of others.
I suppose I just have to accept that technology not only makes it super easy to be informed, but it also makes it super easy to be misinformed (do I hear a flat earth). I also need to accept that not everyone is wired for curiosity. As frustrating as it is, it’s also part of the beauty of humanity.
I hope I never stop being driven to learn. A world without learning seems so colourless. I need colour :)
