Fox Skirt feat. My dogs!

wpid-c360_2014-12-01-18-49-23-445.jpg I decided to take photos of yesterdays outfit in the back garden.

My favourite thing about taking photos in the back garden is that I get to have my dogs in my photos

The dog I'm petting in the photo above is Bubbles. We adopted her 9 years ago from the local RSPCA. We adopted Noodle a year later. It's weird to think we've had them so long because they both act like puppies. (although, noodle is the most puppy like. As much as I love her, she's a bit dense...)

So Yeah, Dogs are great!

Pioneer Park

wpid-20141117_175402.jpg I found a "new" park is Gosford yesterday.  It's a small park called Pioneer Park. As well as being a beautiful park, it also houses some really old graves (Mostly from the mid 1800's) I didn't take any photo's of the graves. (It felt a little disrespectful. Also, what if there was a ghost!?)

The Emerald Ruby

Anyway, this is what I wore. I whipped up this fox pleated skirt Sunday afternoon because that's the way I roll. I was going to use the fabric for some shorts, but I decided last minute that shorts were too much of a hassle to make on a Sunday afternoon.

It amazes me that one can live in an area for so long (I've been in the same house for 19 years) and still not know all of its secrets.

I'm really enjoying the warm weather we're having at the moment. It means I'm able to start wearing short sleve stuff again! (as much as I love my coats and jackets, I do not miss being cold.)

I also must apologise about the lighting. I didn't have a camera fairy and I'm still waiting on my tripod in the mail :( - such fun.

Punky Pugs

wpid-20140917_113604.jpg Remember those k-mart socks I mentioned a few days ago? Welp, I styled another pair.

I ended up wearing my dog shorts with the pug socks, because the more dogs the better!

I also finally fixed my favourite shoes. They're a pair of clear high heel jelly sandles. I bought them during summer, and pretty much wore them for a month straight until the side split. I kept them because I thought I might be able to repair them. A few days ago I was browsing the internet and stumbled upon this thing called shoe goo which is a strong adhesive designed for shoe repair and waterproofing.  This. Stuff. Is. Magic.

Basically I was able to repair and reinforce the split, and now it looks like it never happened!

Snow Dogz

wpid-20140727_170602.jpg Today was another ordinary Sunday. I woke up, got dressed, and went to my rehearsal. I'm a singer and Flautist in The New Empire Ballroom Ragtime and Jazz Orchestra. Basically we mostly play music that was written between 1900 and 1930 (we specialize in 1920's music). We haven't had a performance in agessss, and it's so nice to get back into the swing of things.  (If you're interested, here's our show reel and our facebook page

This coat man. I've been eyeing it off in tree of life for about 2 years. The lovely Ro Dogz knew this, so he made it my birthday present this year. I. Literally. Don't. Ever. Want. To. Take. It. Off. (It's actually perfect.)

Uni goes back tomorrow, which is both nerve wracking and exciting! I'm really looking forward to hanging out/jamming with my peeps, but, I could pass on most of the assignments.

Speaking of Uni! My band has all the gigs coming up at Newcastle University. The first one is this Wednesday at 12:00 at Bar on the Hill at Main Campus. If you're around then you should totes come out. :3
